Biographical / Historical

Omar H. Simonds was one of approximately 7 parties who incorporated the West Duluth Land Company in 1887. He was the General Manager of this company. He came to Duluth, Minneosta from Grand Rapids, Michigan with his family in about 1883. Simonds' children include Duluth musician Miss Carlotta L. Simonds, Miss Eunice B. Simonds, and O. Howard Simonds.
