Scope and Contents

This collection is of photographs collected by Zoa Grace Stephenson. Ten are of Ojibwe people from the Burntside Lake area and of their homes, canoes, and children, including an image of a child on a cradleboard, a woman working on a basket, and a man identified as John Burntside. Two photographs are of the lake with its islands; five noted as Pattison Lodge (1908), with people outdoors near the lake, some diving into the lake and identified as Jim Bradshaw, Toni Simons, and Harry Grace. There is one image of Sliver Mine (1909). Burntside Lake is near Ely, Minnesota.
