Biographical / Historical

Worthington Telford came to Duluth in 1897 as a lawyer. During World War I he was the local chairman of the Military Training Camps Association, Acting Assistant Recruiting Agent for the Officers Training Camps were set up in 1917 to train Reserve Officers, cadets and college graduates. The men trained for about three months. On completion the most efficient were called to serve as officers, the rest kept in reserve.
