The papers include photographs (1908-1994), an undated wedding portrait, account books (about 1900), hunting and fishing licenses (1960-1988), high school diplomas (1930, 1945), letters, military service papers (1932), greeting cards (1954-1963), and service station papers (1941-1992). The largest part of the collection is fishing and hunting photographs.

Biographical / Historical
Stillman E. “Bud” Thompson (22 June 1913 - 15 Oct 1997) lived at 631 West St. Marie Street in Duluth. He was born in Duluth to Severt Martin Thompson (died Dec. 7, 1935) and Enger Serena Larson Thompson (died Dec. 9, 1951). Mr. Severt Thompson was a chauffeur for Charles F. Haley, vice president of A. D. Thomson & Company (grain dealer). Bud retired in 1984 as service manager of several local service stations including Thompson Brothers Service at 1701 Woodland Avenue. His brother Edward J. Thompson (13 Nov 1926-16 Nov 1985) married Mary E. And Bud and Edward had sisters Genevieve Evangeline (7 Mar 1911-2 Nov 1964), a teacher at Irving school, who married Arne O. Isakson and Levina Johnson (31 Dec 1899-22 Jan 1965)of Minneapolis. Bud had two children, Roger and Linda. Bud is buried at Park Hill Cemetery in Duluth.
