Biographical / Historical
The Veterans of World War I of the U.S.A., Inc., is a group of veterans formed in the early 1950's (probably in 1952). The chartered groups are called 'Barracks' and generally located county by county in states. Some Barracks have a Ladies Auxiliary. It is presumed that the Barracks' number reflects the chronological sequence of founding: Duluth's number 2788 was preceded by Barracks No. 2787.
