Biographical / Historical

Dave Wetka, a native of Russia, came to the United States where he joined the army in Missouri in 1917 and served until 1919 when he was honorably discharged. He became a naturalized citizen in 1919. From 1937 to 1954 he worked on Great Lakes freighters.
