Biographical / Historical
Harry Welty is a former teacher, freelance writer, political activist, and former Duluth School Board member representing the Second District for two terms (1995-2002). He also ran unsuccessfully for the Minnesota House of Representatives District 7A as a Republican in 2002. He is a longtime resident of Duluth who is known for making huge snow sculptures on the slope of his front yard. "Not Eudora" is a twice monthly column he writes for Duluth's alternative press weekly newspaper Reader Weekly.
