Scope and Contents
The collection contains six scrapbooks: 1934-1951, 1951-1966, 1966-1980, 1980-1987, 1987-1991, 1991-1997. The scrapbooks hold lists of past presidents and members, newspaper clippings, announcements, programs, and a few snapshots. Occasionally there are articles of national interest. There are no minutes nor financial records.

Biographical / Historical
The West Duluth Women's Club was organized in 1933 with Mrs. C. R. Keyes as its first president. The purpose of the Club is to promote Civic and Community responsibility and render community service. The meetings are held the first Friday of the month from October through May. In May, new officers are elected. Meetings were held in the West Duluth Library and in 1939, mover to the West Duluth YWCA. In January 1954, the Club moved its meetings to McDonald Hall. By its own description: "The Club contributed to the Salvation Army, Red Cross, Thanksgiving Baskets for the needy and other Worthy causes."
