William Earl and Mary H. Wright family papers
Scope and Contents
The collection contains contractors’ bids and papers about installation of furnishings presumably for the new home. Four 1895-96 Hudson high school report cards for Mary H. Sheffer and one of her tiny children’s books. Also, household receipts, greeting cards, a 1927 Christmas Seals flyer, “After Dinner Tricks & Puzzles” booklet from the coffee maker Chase & Sanborn, a Bridgeman issued Velvet Ice Cream booklet of Proverbs, 1919 George A. Gray Co. Mallinson’s Silks dress brochure, three other company advertising cards, electric Royal vacuum cleaner instructions and Gainaday wringer washer guarantee issued by Kelley hardware, items from a trip to Washington, D.C. and New Orleans, Lyceum Theater program, and paper dolls set of four items.

Biographical / Historical
The Wright family of Duluth had a home built at 1901 East Sixth Street in 1908 and lived there through the 1960s. A garage was added in 1912, and an addition in 1921. William E. Wright (died 12/5/1963) was employed in real estate.
