Biographical / Historical
The Northern Minnesota Medical Association was formed following a joint meeting of the Red River Valley, Clay-Becker, and Park Region Medical Societies: Fergus Falls on September 29, 1920. Members of the joint committee included: Dr. W. L. Burnap, Fergus Falls, Minnesota; Dr. C. O. Estrem, Fergus Falls, Minnesota; Dr. L. C. Weeks, Detroit (Lakes), Minnesota; Dr. H. J. Thornby, Moorhead, Minnesota; Dr. H. M. Blegen, Warren, Minnesota; Dr. Ed. Bratrud, Warren, Minnesota.
Officers of the temporary organization following the joint meeting were: President: Dr. Theodor Bratrud, Warren, Minnesota; Vice President: Dr. V.E. Verne, Moorhead, Minnesota; Secretary & Treasurer: Dr. W.L. Burnap, Fergus Falls, Minnesota.
