Biographical / Historical

Louis F. Dworshak lived on 3601 East Fourth Street in Duluth. His surname is alternately spelled Dworshak, Dworchak, and Dworschak. He was the president of the Minnesota State Photographers' Association and a member of the Duluth Curling Club. He was also active with the Duluth Chorale Society, and was eleted president of the Society in 1919. Born in Wisconsin, he moved to Duluth early in his life. His wife, Elizabeth M. Dworshak, was a concert pianist, they had four children. Louis F. Dworshak was a portrait photographer in Duluth from 1893 into the 1950s when a fire destroyed the Dworshak Studio.
