Biographical / Historical
Originally known as the Faculty Wives Club, the UMD Women's Club was an organization open to women on the professional staff and women whose husbands were on the professional staff at the University of Minnesota Duluth. The club held various events throughout the year, and contained smaller interest groups including bridge, skiiing, crafts, gourmet cooking, literature, sports, and others. They also contributed to the Minnesota Memorial Fund, which honored deceased University of Minnesota faculty and provided scholarships for faculty children.
These materials were donated by Mary Evans, past president and longtime member of the club.
