Biographical / Historical
The Sandstone Hospital Co-Ordinating Committee was formed in 1951 soon after this hospital for the mentally ill was established in the former federal prison in Sandstone, MN. The Committee was to provide volunteer services such as transportation, giving a Christmas party, providing recreation and entertainment, and providing some supplies and equipment.
