The collection contains photographs with the Fenney and Adams stamp or attribution. As photographs by these photographers are located they will be moved to this collection. There are four items: A. Fitger and Company Brewery about 1905; Aerial Ferry Bridge, 1905; Superior Street looking east from Seventh Avenue west about 1900; Aerial Lift Bridge under construction, 1904

Biographical / Historical

Knute L. Fenney, 1870-1953, and J. P. H. Adams were photographers in Duluth from 1903-1910, at various locations downtown including in the Lyceum Building. Fenney and Adams also worked in St. Paul, Minnesota. Fenney is buried in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. Johann Peter H. Adams holds a 1901 patent on a keyboard for musical instruments.
