Biographical / Historical

The Gallagher name and studio is associated with photographs of Duluth, Minnesota by Louis P. Gallagher, 1875-1945, and his son Louis "Perry" Gallagher, Jr., 1912-1988. Michael Perry Gallagher is the only son of Louis Perry Gallagher, Jr. and Annabelle Freeman Gallagher, 1917-2007, and the grandson of Louis P. Gallagher. Diane Jean Zimmerle Gallagher married Michael Gallagher in 1963. She is the daughter of Duluthians Wilma H., died 2007, and Fred Zimmerle, died 1994. Sheila, Kelly, and Tim Gallagher are the children of Michael and Diane Gallagher.
