Ezra H. Pieper Collection
Scope and Contents
This collection deals with correspondence relating to efforts to establish a branch of the University of Minnesota at Duluth. The name A.I. Jedlicka is found throughout the collection. Ezra H. Pieper was a Professor of History at Duluth State Teachers College from 1930 - 1952. He served as acting President of the College for two months during 1946 between the administrations of Sorenson and Gibson. In 1950, Pieper, then Chairman of the University's Social Science Division, attempted to contact many of the key individuals involved with the area's struggle to establish a branch of the University of Minnesota At Duluth.
