The record series, Chancellor's Papers on Committees, University of Minnesota, consists of materials from All-University Senate Committees. These include agendas, correspondence, memoranda, minutes, newsletters, reports, project forms, flow charts, etc. and speak to diverse matters involving all-university committees pertinent to UMM. Materials include but are not limited to: academic standing policies, external relations, changes in transcripts, grading procedures, capital improvements, mission statements, revenue/funding reports, fund-raising, intercollegiate athletics reports, international programs, libraries, faculty leave, student data, and religious affairs. Some materials discuss personnel issues, and abstracts of cases heard by the Senate Judicial Committee are contained within these files. Material is from the 1960s through the 1990s. Of special interest are materials from the Morris Advisory Committee, a university-wide group that helped plan the establishment of the Morris campus and worked closely with the West Central Educational Development Association, the UMM-related materials from the Capital Improvement Advisory Committee, the file on Constitutional Autonomy (documents the attempt by the State Legislature in 1977 to remove the University’s constitutional autonomy), and rosters of faculty serving on senate committees.
