Historical Note

In October 1953, an IBM 701 computer was delivered to North American Aviation (NAA) in Los Angeles, California. In order for the engineers to learn to use the computer in their particular fields of engineering, classes were conducted in applications programming. Florence Anderson was one of the programming instructors at NAA.
