Biographical / Historical
Jerdine Nolen is the author of many picture books including Harvey Potter's Balloon Farm and Raising Dragons. She was born April 6, 1953 in Crystal Springs, Mississippi. She was raised in Chicago in a large family with seven siblings. She grew up always loving to write. She has a B.A. in special education from Northeastern Illinois University and an M.Ed. in interdisciplinary arts education from Loyola University in Chicago. She was a classroom educator and enjoyed teaching about books and the writing process.
