This collection contains typescripts, galleys, proofs, correspondence, reviews, and other production materials for children's books and magazine articles written by Deborah Underwood, published between 1995 and 2023. This collection also includes unpublished novels, stories, and screenplays.

Biographical / Historical

Deborah Underwood was born in Walla Walla, Washington in 1962. After college, Underwood worked as a street performer and a secretary before writing for children. Underwood writes both nonfiction and fiction, publishing over thirty titles. Underwood loves animals and is delighted that her job gives her the chance to learn and write about them. She currently lives in Northern California.
