Biographical / Historical

Heidi E. Y. Stemple was born in 1966 in Hatfield, Massachusetts. She earned a BA in psychology from Eckerd College, and worked as a probation officer in Florida before becoming a writer. She is the author of numerous books for children, many coauthored with her mother, well-known children's and young adult author Jane Yolen. She has worked in a vaierty of genres, including verse, cook books, picture books, and nonfiction. Stemple lives in Hatfield, Massachusetts.
