Biographical / Historical
Elvajean Hall was born in Hamilton, Illinois. She earned an A.B. from Oberlin College, pursued graduate studies at the University of Wisconsin, and earned a B.S. from Columbia University. Sshe worked as a teacher and librarian, and wrote a number of children's books (primarily nonfiction) and contributed articles to educational and library journals. She lived in Massachusetts.
