Biographical / Historical

Children's author and editor Frances Cavanah was born in 1899 in Princeton, Indiana. She attended DePauw University and spent her career as a writer and editor, working as an editor for various companies such as Rand McNally, and Co., as well as biography editor for the 1947 edition of World Book Encyclopedia. She lived in Denver, Colorado, prior to her death in 1982.
