The collection consists of production materials for titles written by Lenore Blegvad and illustrated by Erik Blegvad. Works included in the collection represent collaborations by the Blegvad's as well as those worked on individually. Materials include typescripts, correspondence, jacket proofs, galley proofs, and clippings.

Biographical Sketch

Lenore Blegvad was born in 1926 in New York, New York and graduated with a BA from Vassar College in 1947. While studying in Paris, she met her husband Erik Blegvad, a Danish artist. Lenore Blegvad has written a dozen books for children, many of which are illustrated by her husband.

Erik Blegvad was born in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1923 and studied at the School of Applied Arts. He has illustrated over 100 children's books during his career.
