Biographical / Historical

British author Agnes S.P. Szudek (aka Mary McCaffrey) was born in Scotland and she was raised in the English midlands. Mary McCaffrey was her mother's maiden name. In addition to writing, she worked as a teacher. In 1962 she married Major P. A. Szudek, a Polish military writer, with whom she traveled extensively. Her first book Stories From Poland, was published in 1972.She published works both under her own name and under the pseudonym Mary McCaffrey.
