Richard Mosher Papers
Scope and Contents
This collection contains Richard Mosher's personal and professional papers, as well as family papers. His writings include published and unpublished titles by Richard Mosher, such as drafts and related materials for his published juvenile works The Taxi Navigator and Zazoo. Also included are many unpublished works, including a memoir titled How My Flames Saved the World.
Mosher's personal and family papers contain photographs, correspondence, childhood papers and writings, journals, planners/daybooks, genealogical documents, and other materials that begin as early as the 1930s. The family correspondence include letters written or received by his parents, Arthur Mosher and Alice Wynne Mosher. The collection also holds a large number of personal and family photographs.

Biographical / Historical
Richard Mosher was born April 24, 1949, in Mussoorie, India, the son of missionary parents. He lived in a number of different countries before coming to the United states, where he held a variety of jobs before becoming a freelance writer. He says he uses his varied experiences as realistic background for his stories, but does not base his plots or characters directly on them. Mosher lives in Minnesota.
