Biographical / Historical

Artist and illustrator Charles Mozley was born May 29, 1915, in Sheffield, England. He attended the Sheffield School of Art and the Royal College of Art, graduating from the latter in 1937. During World War II he served in the British Army, after which he continued his work as a free-lance illustrator. Mozley primarily worked in book illustration, although he also designed posters. Mozley died in 1991.
