Biographical / Historical

Marianne Olson Mitchell was born June 7, 1947, in Phoenix, AZ. She earned a BA from the University of Redlands in 1968 and an MA from the University of Louisville in 1988. Prior to becoming a writer she taught bilingual elementary education, and later became a lecturer in Spanish at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. Her first book, Maya Moon/Dona Luna, was published in 1995. She lives in Tucson, Arizona.
