Biographical / Historical

Helen Cresswell was born in Nottinghamshire, England in 1934 and was educated at Kings College, University of London. She was a television and children's book writer, creating work for both preschoolers and older children. She wrote both poetic fantasy and humor, notably in the Bagthorpe series. Cresswell died in 2005.
