Biographical / Historical

William Wilcox Robinson was born in 1891 in Trinidad, Colorado before moving to California as a child. He wrote books, articles, essay, and poetry for both children and adults, much of it on Southern California history. He was married to Irene Bowen in 1923, who illustrated many of his books. He died in 1972 in California.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Given to Dr. Irvin Kerlan beginning in the 1950s. He in turned donated the materials to the University of Minnesota.
