Biographical / Historical

Betty Sue Cummings was born in 1918 in Virginia. In addition to writing she taught English at the high school and junior high levels. She was nominated for the National Book Award for Children's Literature and was awarded the Rollins College Writers Conference Short Story Award. Betty Sue Cummings died in 2001.
