Biographical / Historical

Jane Louise Curry was born on September 24, 1932 in East Liverpool, Ohio. Curry grew up in Pennsylvania but eventually moved to California, splitting her time between Palo Alto, California, and London, England. She received her M.A. and Ph.D in English from Stanford University in 1969. She worked as a writer, artist, and professor. She has written works of historical fantasy for upper elementary and middle school readers, including the Abalocseries.
