The collection contains a corrected proof for the 1971 edition of the English translation of the children's book The Bear and the People, originally published in German by Reiner Zimnik. The title was translated by Nina Ignatowicz.

Biographical / Historical

Reiner Zimnik was born in the East German town of Beuthen in Silesia in 1930. He attended the Academy of Art in Munich and worked in a carpentry shop and as an author and illustrator of books for children.
