Biographical Sketch
Brinton Turkle was born in Alliance, Ohio in 1915. His career has been as an author and illustrator of children's books and as an illustrator for advertising agencies. His first book, Obadiah the Bold,was published in 1965 and exemplifies Turkle's belief that the words and pictures in a picture book should be so interdependent that neither could stand successfully alone.
