Biographical / Historical

Hans Wilhelm was born on September 21, 1945 in Bremen, Germany. He spent over 12 years as an office and marketing manager in Johannesburg, South Africa before devoting himself entirely to illustrating and authoring children's books. Since the mid 1960s, Hans Wilhelm has illustrated or wrote and illustrated over 150 books for children. He is probably best known for his series about the shaggy dog, Waldo. He lives in Connecticut.
