The collection contains two sketches by Earl Thollander for Ramón Makes a Trade (Los Cambios de Ramón), a bilingual English/Spanish children's book written by Barbara Ritchie and translated by Kenneth Edwards.

Biographical / Historical

Earl Thollander was born in Kingsburg, CA in 1922 and worked as a freelance illustrator, painter and author. He earned a BA from the University of California and attended the Art Institute, the Academy of Art, and the Art League of California. He created illlustrations for numerous children's books. He died in 2001 in California.
