Biographical / Historical

Joyce Carol Thomas is an author of young adult novels, poetry, and picture books, as well as fiction and poetry for adults. She was born in Ponca City, OK in 1938 and received her B.A. from San Jose State University and her M.A. from Stanford University. Her book of poetry, Brown Honey in Broomwheat Tea, was named a Coretta Scott King Honor Book.
