Biographical / Historical

Sandra Scoppettone was born June 1, 1936, in Morristown, New Jersey. She first wrote for the theater, film, and television, but began writing books as a result of an experience she had while directing a group of teenagers in a theater production. In her young adult novels she is known for dealing with subjects such as homosexuality and alcoholism. She has gradually moved into the field of crime fiction, writing under the pseudomym Jack Early.
