Biographical / Historical

Mircea Vasiliu was born in Bucharest, Rumania in 1920 and took a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Bucharest. He served in the Rumanian Diplomatic Corps and has spent much of his career as a writer and illustrator, notably of children's books. Vasiliu died in 2008 in Annapolis, Maryland.
