The collection contains illustrative material for three children's books illustrated by Sibley in the late 1950s and early 1960s, and includes ink illustrations, proofs, book jacket illustrations with separations, and related materials.

Biographical / Historical
Don Sibley was born March 16, 1922, in Hornell, NY. Sibley served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, then afterwards became an artist and illustrator of children's books, earning his degree in illustration from the Pratt Institute. He also developed an interest in architecture and early Americana.
