Scope and Contents
The collection contains production materials for numerous titles published by author Isabelle Holland between 1970 and 1999, unpublished materials, and personal and business papers. Materials include typescripts, proofs, personal and business correspondence, photographs, biographical materials, and clippings.

Biographical / Historical
Isabelle Holland was born June 16, 1920 in Basel, Switzerland. She graduated from Tulane University in 1942 and later worked, mostly in publicity, for various magazines and publishers. In 1967, Isabelle Holland published her first work, Cecily, for young adults. Her 1975 novel Of Love and Death and Other Journeys,, received a National Book Award nomination in 1976. Isabelle Holland also wrote novels, mostly "Gothic mysteries" for adults. Holland died in 2002.
