Biographical / Historical

Gail Carson Levine was born September 17, 1947 in New York, NY. She attended the City College of New York where she received her B.A. in 1969. She is a children's book author whose awards and honors include Best Books for Young Adults and Quick Picks for Young Adults citations, American Library Association, and Newbery Honor Book, American Library Association, all in 1998, all for Ella Enchanted While working in New York City, she did most of her writing on Metro North.
