Biographical / Historical

Born on August 27, 1959, Lisa was raised hear Los Angeles, California. She attended the University of Southern California, studying English and Humanities. Her first book, Millicent Min, Girl Geniuswas published in 2003 and won the Sid Fleischman Humor Award. Her publications have received awards, being named NPR Best Summer Read and USA Today Critics' Top Pick, while Stanford Wong Flunks Big-timewas an ALA Notable Book. Yee is also the co-owner and creative director of Magic Pencil Studios, a strategic creative company. She currently resides in South Pasadena, California.
