Biographical Sketch
Steven Kroll (August 11, 1941-March 8, 2011) was born and raised in Manhattan. Kroll graduated from Harvard University in 1962 and worked as an editor with a few different publishing houses, including Holt, Rinehart & Winston. By the early 1970s, he had tired of editing others' works and set out to write more of his own. This led to a prolific career as a children's book author, with over two hundred published and unpublished works completed.
