Biographical Sketch

Author Swati Avasthi earned her BA from the University of Chicago and her MFA from the University of Minnesota. Her book Splitreceived a 2011 International Reading Association Award, a 2010 Cybils Award, a 2010 Silver Parents' Choice Award, and a New Mexico State Book Award. She is currently a creative writing professor at Hamline University and lives in the Twin Cities.
