Biographical / Historical

Biographical Sketch Elizabeth Enright was born in 1907 in Oak Park, IL, and spent most of her life in the area around New York City. She worked as an illustrator, children's book author, and short story writer. She won the Newbery Medal for Thimble Summerin 1939. She died in 1968.
