Scope and Content

The collection consists of one oversized print of a spread from Yuyi Morales's book Vida Frida!, which Morales wrote and illustrated using stop-motion puppets and digital manipulation (with photography done by Tim O'Meara).

Biographical / Historical

Yuyi Morales was born in 1968 in Mexico and immigrated to the United States in 1994. The author and illustrator of numerous books for children, Morales's works celebrate her heritage and Latino culture. She has won numerous awards for her work, including two Pura Belpre Medals. She lives in California.
