Biographical Sketch

Bruce Hale was born October 30, 1957 in Los Angeles, California. He earned a B.A. in economics from the University of California -- Los Angeles in 1980. Before becoming a children's author, he lived and worked in both Tokyo, Japan, and Hawaii. He currently lives in Santa Barbara, California with his wife.
