Biographical / Historical

Born in Dearborn, Michigan, Toni Buzzeo was an avid reader from a young age. While attending college at the University of Michigan, Dearborn, where she graduated in 1976 with a BA in English Language and Literature.. Later she would go on to receive an MA in English Language and Literature and a Masters in Library and Information Science from the University of Rhode Island, Kingston. She had a career as a school librarian for sixteen years, and began writing for children in 1995. Her first book, The Sea Chest, was published in 2002.She splits her time living in Maine and Florida.
