Biographical / Historical
Natalie Savage Carlson was born in October 1906 and died in September 1997. She was an author of children’s books, primarily folktales. She was a nominee for the 1959 Newbery Medal and a nominee for the Hans Christian Andersen Award in 1966 for her contribution as a children’s author
